What is qrvote?
qrvote is a free web app for running contests, surveys, quizzes and scavenger hunts at in-person events. You print QR codes, and people take part by scanning them with their phone camera. Try it: a sample contest.
Do people need to download an app?
No. Any phone camera opens the page in the browser. There’s no app, account or sign-up.
Do organizers need an account?
No. When you create a contest, survey or hunt you get a private organizer link that works on any device.
How does qrvote stop cheating?
Each phone gets one vote, response or player. Codes can be kept secret on printed signs, networks are limited, suspicious patterns are flagged so you can void them, and you can hand out paper tickets for the strictest events. More: QR code voting.
Can I start from a spreadsheet?
Yes. Download a ready-made Excel template for entries, checkpoints or questions, fill it in, and import it (Excel or CSV). You can export your list the same way.
Can I run it from ChatGPT or Claude?
Yes. Add https://mcp.qrvote.org/mcp/organizer as a connector in Claude, ChatGPT or another app that supports MCP, then sign in. Your assistant can draft a contest for you to create, read results, and manage the contests you pick: add entries, end voting, export results.
