- Trivia night on the big screen: Run a pub quiz like a game show. Put the big screen on a projector, players scan one QR code, and everyone answers on their phone as you put each question up. Like Kahoot, but players scan a code instead of typing a game PIN. No app, no account, free.
- Live polls for presentations: Ask your audience a question in the middle of your talk. They scan the QR code on the screen, answer on their phone, and the bars move as answers come in. A free alternative to Mentimeter- or Slido-style polls, with no account for you or your audience.
- Classroom quizzes and exit tickets: Put a QR code on the board. Students scan it, answer at their own pace and see their score the moment they finish, while you see every answer on your dashboard. No student accounts, no emails, free.

Questions
What is QRvote?
QRvote is a free web app for running contests, surveys, quizzes and scavenger hunts at in-person events. You print QR codes, and people take part by scanning them with their phone camera. Try it: a sample contest.
Do people need to download an app?
No. Any phone camera opens the page in the browser. There’s no app, account or sign-up.
Do organizers need an account?
No. When you create a contest, survey, quiz or hunt you get a private organizer link that works on any device.
How does QRvote stop cheating?
Each phone gets one vote, response or player. Codes can be kept secret on printed signs, networks are limited, suspicious patterns are flagged so you can void them, and you can hand out paper tickets for the strictest events. More: QR code voting.
Can I start from a spreadsheet?
Yes. Download a ready-made Excel template for entries, checkpoints or questions, fill it in, and import it (Excel or CSV). You can export your list the same way.
What languages is QRvote in?
13 languages, including Spanish, German, Chinese, French, Japanese, Hindi and Arabic. Each contest remembers its language, so its QR codes open in it, and anyone can switch.
Can judges score entries too?
Yes. Add judges to a contest and each gets a private scorecard link. They score every entry on your criteria, and the judges’ award shows beside the people’s choice once voting closes. You can print certificates for the winners.
Can I run a live pub quiz or trivia night?
Yes, and nobody needs an app. Run a quiz live on a big screen: you put each question up, players answer on their phones, and scores appear after each reveal. Start from the question bank or write your own. Try it: a sample quiz.
Can I run it from ChatGPT or Claude?
Yes. Add https://mcp.qrvote.org/mcp/organizer as a connector in Claude, ChatGPT or another app that supports MCP, then sign in. Your assistant can draft a contest for you to create, read results, and manage the contests you pick: add entries, end voting, export results. It never sees your organizer key, and you can disconnect it from the dashboard. Step by step: connect your assistant.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. QRvote is free, with no ads and no tracking.
What happens to the data?
Contests, surveys, quizzes and hunts are deleted automatically 90 days after they end, and never kept longer than 365 days. Voters are anonymous and nothing is sold or shared for advertising. Details: privacy policy.
