Live polls for presentations
Ask your audience a question in the middle of your talk. They scan the QR code on the screen, answer on their phone, and the bars move as answers come in. A free alternative to Mentimeter- or Slido-style polls, with no account for you or your audience.
How it works
- Write your questions. Choose one, choose many, yes/no, a rating or an agree scale, plus an open question for comments.
- Put it on screen. Open the big screen in a browser tab: it shows the QR code and the live results. Switch to it from your slides when it’s time.
- The audience scans and taps. Every question on one page, one response per phone.
- Talk through the results. Bars and averages refresh every few seconds. Written answers show only on your dashboard.
Great for
- Conference talks and keynotes
- Lectures and training sessions
- All-hands and team meetings
- Workshops and retrospectives
- Community and board meetings
- Church and club gatherings
Fair by design
- One response per phone, so one table can’t outvote the room.
- Per-network limits and flags catch anyone answering again from a fresh browser.
- Written answers are never shown publicly.
- Keep results to yourself until you’re ready: the big screen still shows them on your laptop.
Frequently asked questions
Does the audience need an app or an account?
No. They scan the QR code with their phone camera and answer in the browser. You don’t need an account either: you get a private organizer link.
Can I show the results only when I’m ready?
Yes. Set results to “Only to me” and open the big screen from your dashboard: the projector shows them, but phones don’t. Switch to live results whenever you like.
Can I ask several questions during one talk?
Put them all in one poll, answered on one page, or make a separate poll for each moment in your talk, each with its own QR code. Questions lock once the first answer is in, so set them up before you start.
Can the audience send me questions?
Add a long-answer question and read what comes in on your dashboard. Written answers are never shown publicly, so you pick which ones to take.
Is it a free alternative to Mentimeter or Slido?
For polls, yes: multiple choice, ratings, agree scales and open questions, with live results on a big screen, free and with no account. It doesn’t make word clouds or run an upvoted Q&A.
Will a room full of people on the venue Wi-Fi get blocked?
Raise the limit on phones per Wi-Fi when you create the poll, or later in Settings, to fit the room.
Can I reuse a poll for the next session?
Yes. Start over clears the answers and keeps the same QR code, or make a copy to keep each session’s results. You can download every response as a CSV.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. It’s free, with no ads.
