Nominations, then a vote
Don’t know the entries yet? Let people suggest them. They scan one QR code and suggest a name, a teacher or a mascot; you approve the suggestions and pick the finalists; then the same code opens the vote. No app, no sign-up. Free.

How it works
- Open nominations. Name it, and add any entries you already have. Suggestions wait for your approval unless you turn that off.
- People suggest. Each phone can suggest 3 entries, with their name for credit if they like.
- Pick the finalists. Close suggestions when you’re ready, or set a time. Keep every approved suggestion, or tick the ones that go on.
- Everyone votes. The finalists become the entries. From here it’s an ordinary contest: live or hidden results, the big screen, certificates.
Great for
- Teacher and employee of the year
- Naming a mascot, a team or a new product
- Community awards
- Book club and movie night picks
- Wedding and party song requests
- Best booth, float or costume, picked by the crowd
Fair by design
- Suggestions wait for your approval by default, so nothing you didn’t choose reaches the ballot.
- Each phone can suggest 3 entries, with per-network limits on top.
- Voting is one vote per phone, with the same anti-cheat as every contest.
- Nobody votes while suggestions are open, and the suggestions that don’t make the cut are hidden.
Frequently asked questions
Do people need an app or an account?
No. They scan the QR code with their phone camera and suggest in the browser. You get a private organizer link.
Can I start with a few entries of my own?
Yes. Add them when you create it; suggestions join them.
How do the finalists get picked?
You pick them. Keep every approved suggestion, or tick the ones that go on. If you set a closing time, every approved suggestion goes on by itself then.
Is the person who suggested an entry credited?
If they add their name and you keep names on, it shows with their suggestion. Nobody, you included, can otherwise see who suggested what.
Can people vote while suggestions are open?
No. Voting opens when suggestions close, on the same QR code.
Can I add award categories or judges?
Yes, once the finalists are known: after suggestions close, add award categories and judges in Settings, like any contest.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. It’s free, with no ads.
What happens afterwards?
It’s deleted automatically 90 days after voting closes. You can download every vote as a CSV.
